Environmental preservation, health, and legal protections
Critical thinking and civic engagement
Cultural, educational, and welfare initiatives targeting youth in Santa Barbara County, CA

The Foundation may also provide funds to other charitable organizations which are determined by the Directors to be appropriate for financial assistance.
Grants are typically between $25,000 and $50,000.
While applications for grants may be submitted by invitation only, interested parties who work in one of the Foundation’s priority areas (listed above) may send a letter of interest (LOI) to the Foundation which describes the organization and the proposed use of requested funds. Copies of brochures and other publicly distributed materials which describe the present activities of the organization may be included. Please review specific guidelines for each program area.
Please note, an applicant must be a publicly supported tax exempt organization recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service under I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3). Please include your EIN in your letter of interest.
Deadlines for 2026 letters of interest have passed. No new LOIs for the 2026 grant cycle will be considered.
