Youth in Santa Barbara County
NEW LOI DUE DATE FOR 2026 - MARCH 15, 2026
The Santa Barbara Youth Program champions initiatives dedicated to unlocking the full potential of young people. We support efforts that target underserved youth to provide transformative personal development and enrichment, broaden horizons through exposure to new ideas and creative endeavors, and ensure the safety and well-being through essential social and protection services. Together, we strive to create a future where every child in Santa Barbara County can thrive.
The program has three pillars:
Education: We support organizations that strengthen academic fundamentals and equip students with the knowledge and skills for lifelong success.
Arts and Culture: We support access to diverse artistic and cultural experiences that nurture self-expression and broaden perspectives.
Social Services: We want to ensure young people have access to essential social and protective services that provide a stable foundation for their daily lives and future growth.
Requests for Support
The Foundation accepts 1-2 page letters of interest (LOI) at any time. LOIs should clearly state which pillar(s) the project would support.
The deadline for LOI submission is March 15, 2026. Any letters received after March 15, 2026 will be considered for the 2027 grant cycle. LOIs should be sent to adrienne@thestonefamilyfoundation.org.
Grants are typically for $25,000 to $30,000 with a duration of 12-18 months.
Additional considerations: The Foundation prioritizes those organizations that work within or alongside the public schools in Santa Barbara County. The Foundation also prioritizes programs that demonstrate a clear approach to identifying and working with youth, and can articulate their own assessment of “success”.
